Adele Taylor
Chair
As Chief Administrative Officer, Adele Taylor leads the corporate strategy, corporate development, vendor management, and real estate functions for Schwab.
Taylor joined Schwab in September 2024 from Franklin Templeton, where she was SVP and Lead, Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development. In that role, she shaped and drove strategic direction at the corporate and business line levels, evaluated and executed on growth and efficiency opportunities, and steered development and partnership efforts.
Prior to Franklin Templeton, Taylor served as a consultant at McKinsey & Company for over a decade, most recently as Partner and the Leader of the West Coast Wealth and Asset Management Practice. In this capacity, she advised senior executives in the wealth management, asset management, banking, and retirement industries on major strategic choices and drove transformational execution programs.
She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Greg Avis
Director
Greg is managing partner of Bangtail Partners, a private investment firm. He is a cofounder and former managing director of Summit Partners, one of the nation’s leading private equity and venture capital firms, which has raised nearly $15 billion in capital since its inception. Greg has served on the boards of more than 50 public and private companies and over 20 non-profit boards. His non-profit work has included service on the boards of Williams College (chair), the James Irvine Foundation (chair), Cleveland Clinic, ITHAKA, New Profit, MASS MoCA, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Opportunity Fund, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation (chair), and the Sobrato Family Foundation. Greg has also taught mathematics at Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto for 16 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political economy from Williams College and a master’s degree in Business Administration, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
Bill Brownell
Director
Bill Brownell is a board member of Social Venture Partners International, a network of 3400 high net worth families focused on philanthropic initiatives in 45 cities worldwide. He is also Board Chair at the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2), which focuses on grant-making and impact investing with San Francisco Bay Area social enterprises. In addition, he is a Board Chair at Pasturemap Inc, an environment focused software company, the Board Chair at the Stanford Business School ACT Program, and a Board member at the Nature Conservancy. He was Senior Vice President at Cisco Systems, where he led strategy, marketing and business development functions over time on a global basis. He also led the strategy team at Hewlett Packard and was a senior partner at The Boston Consulting Group in San Francisco. Mr. Brownell has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, an MPP from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, and a BA from Stanford University.
Anne Casscells
Director
Anne Casscells is the chief investment officer of Aetos Alternatives Management, where she manages funds on behalf of pensions, endowments, and foundations. Prior to this, she was the chief investment officer for the endowment of Stanford University. She is the treasurer of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and has served on the board of KQED Public Broadcasting. She has also been a trustee of the Stanford Business School Trust and an advisor to the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She has authored several articles on investing and teaches a class on investing at Stanford Business School.
Loretta Doon
Director
Loretta Doon is a CPA and the former chief executive officer of the California Society of CPAs and the California CPA Education Foundation, retiring in 2019. She has served on the advisory board for the Center for Financial Reporting and Management at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and the board of the Accounting Career Awareness Program of Northern California, an organization supporting students interested in the accounting profession. She is a member of the California Society of CPAs, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and International Women’s Forum where she is on the board of IWF Northern California.
Dan Kingsley
Director
Dan Kingsley is a founder and managing partner of SKS. Kingsley is an investor, developer and advisor of commercial real estate properties in the western United States. He was a vice president with Maguire Thomas Partners headquartered in Los Angeles, where he participated in the development of more than three million square feet of office space. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MS in regional planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
Linda B. Segre
Director
Linda Segre is an experienced officer and board director of publicly traded companies with an extensive background in corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and people management. She is a director of Callaway Golf Company (member of compensation and nominating & governance committees) and a recently retired Chief Strategy and People Officer of Diamond Foods. Ms. Segre has experience in a broad range of industries, but most recently in consumer goods. She has functional expertise in corporate strategy, M&A, investor relations, executive compensation, human resources, corporate governance and crisis management and communications. Prior to joining Diamond Foods, Ms. Segre was a partner at the Boston Consulting Group for eleven years and also a Managing Director at Google. Ms. Segre earned a BA degree from Stanford University with Academic Distinction in economics and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her other and prior board memberships include: Stanford Athletics Board, Education Outside, The First Tee of San Francisco, Worldres (private, online travel related), Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Arthritis Foundation of Northern California.
Una Osili
Director
Dr. Una Osili is a global expert on philanthropy and social innovation with over two decades of experience in leadership, economic policy, and research across the public and private sectors. She holds the Efroymson Chair in Philanthropy and Economics and is Associate Dean for Research and International Programs at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She also serves as Dean’s Fellow for the Mays Family Institute on Diverse Philanthropy.
Una leads the research and publication of Global Philanthropy Tracker and the Global Philanthropy Environment Index, as well as Giving USA, the annual report on American philanthropy. Founder of Generosity for Life, a digital platform, she also chairs the school’s signature research project, the Philanthropy Panel Study, the most comprehensive study of the generosity of American families over time. She has provided expert testimony for the U.S. Senate and other national and international advisory groups on many occasions.
